Privacy policy
Clear privacy, without hidden tracking language.
Last updated: April 2026
Wizmo is built for parents buying and managing child-focused audio products, so privacy has to be understandable before checkout, not buried after it. This page summarizes what we currently collect, how our essential web cookie works, and when we would revisit consent requirements.
What we collect
We collect information needed to run the service, such as email, account profile details, order and shipping information, and limited device status needed for product support and account recovery.
What we avoid
We do not design this website checkout experience to collect personal information directly from children. Parent accounts manage purchases, support, and device setup.
Your control
Parents can request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting privacy@wizmoplay.com. We also review internal telemetry and security controls as the product evolves.
Cookies
What the current website uses.
Essential cookie in use
Wizmo currently uses an authentication refresh cookie for web login. It helps keep users signed in securely without exposing the refresh token to browser JavaScript.
Why we use it
This cookie supports session security and account continuity. It is scoped to the refresh endpoint and is intended to be part of the login system, not an advertising or profiling tool.
What we do not currently use
We did not identify browser-side ad-tech or third-party analytics trackers such as Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, Segment, or similar website trackers in the current implementation.
How we handle website data
Account and checkout information is collected to process purchases, provide support, and help parents manage devices linked to their household.
Basic profile details may be stored to complete account setup and improve service continuity across web and mobile experiences.
Operational device information may be processed to support setup, recovery, diagnostics, and product reliability.
Cookies and session security
The current web flow uses an essential refresh cookie named `wizmo_refresh` to support secure session renewal.
This cookie is configured as `HttpOnly`, `SameSite=Strict`, and scoped to the refresh endpoint so it is not broadly attached to every request.
Because this cookie is used for login and account security, it is treated as an essential cookie rather than a marketing or advertising cookie.
Cookie consent position
If Wizmo only uses essential authentication and security cookies, a consent banner is generally not required, though users should still be informed through this privacy page.
If we later add non-essential analytics, ad, pixel, or behavioral tracking cookies, we may need a consent flow depending on the user’s region and applicable law.
We plan to re-review this page before enabling third-party analytics or tracking technologies.
Child privacy and telemetry
Wizmo is designed for parents purchasing and managing child-focused audio products, so privacy defaults are centered around the adult account relationship.
We separately review telemetry and internal security controls to reduce the risk of data misuse, spoofed events, or over-collection.
Where a security concern affects privacy or data integrity, we track it as part of our security review process and remediation planning.
